Overview

BUCHBERLIN 2025 once again brought together around 300 independent publishers and authors in the Arena Halle in Alt-Treptow. Over one weekend in autumn, the public fair presented books focusing on Fantasy, Romance, and Crime, along with around 80 readings, signing sessions, and workshops. The organizer remained Bücherzauber e.V.

The 2025 edition confirmed BUCHBERLIN's established formula: one weekend, one large hall (Arena Halle at Eichenstraße 4), around 300 independent exhibitors. The genre-specific focuses (Fantasy, Romance, Crime/Thriller) attracted a young, avid reading audience — with many BookTok and BookTube communities present.

The reading program included around 80 events. Funding partners were the Berlin Senate Department for Culture and the European Union, along with sponsors like Thalia. The BUCHBERLIN Academy ran throughout 2025 as a professional development program for authors and writers.
