Overview
The 38th Breminale continued its tradition in 2025 as Bremen's largest free open-air festival. From Wednesday to Sunday, bands, DJs, and solo artists performed on eleven stages at Osterdeich, with a programme ranging from Indie and Electro to Hip-Hop and Folk.
New in 2025 was the area by Waldinsel Records, a label from Buchholz, which created its own festival area with three trucks converted into stages. At LichtLuftBad, the special stage FLUT offered a quieter counterpoint with concerts, sound installations, dance, children's theatre, and even a forest sauna. For performances in the FLUT area, a small admission fee was charged for visitors aged 14 and over.
The accompanying programme included theatre, circus, and comedy, as well as an extensive children's programme. The Hochschule für Künste (University of the Arts) presented works by its students through HfK X BREMINALE. The main stage hosted national and regional acts, while the Heimspielbuhne gave precedence to the Bremen scene.
As in previous years, admission to the main area remained free. The festival relied on a strong network of partners, including SWB as presenter, the Bremen Senate for Culture, Initiative Musik, and over 100 other partners.
