Overview
The 171st edition of the Bremerhaven Freimarkt brought ten days of Volksfest atmosphere to Wilhelm-Kaisen-Platz in August 2025. Rides, festival tents, and stalls attracted families and funfair fans from across the region to the Seastadt. As usual, highlights included the fireworks display over the Weser estuary and the Family Day with reduced prices. With free admission, the Freimarkt remained Bremerhaven's most important late-summer festival in 2025, proving the enduring appeal of this tradition over 170 years old.
The 2025 edition continued the long-standing tradition of the Bremerhaven Freimarkt: ten days of Volksfest on Wilhelm-Kaisen-Platz with rides, festival tents, and culinary funfair offerings. The fireworks display and Family Day were once again among the most popular highlights, and free admission made the festival accessible to visitors of all ages. The Seastadt thus reaffirmed the significance of its most traditional Volksfest.
