Overview

In 2025, the Bremen Christmas Market once again transformed the historic Market Square into a winter village in front of the UNESCO World Heritage Town Hall from November 24th to December 23rd. Over 170 festively decorated stalls and carousels, the scent of roasted almonds, gingerbread, and mulled wine, and the unique medieval backdrop between the Town Hall, Roland, Schütting, and the Town Musicians of Bremen attracted thousands to the Hanseatic city. The opening was traditionally accompanied by fireworks over the Weser River, and the maritime Schlachte Magic complemented the offerings. Thus, the market once again confirmed its reputation as one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Northern Germany.

The 2025 edition followed the established tradition: four weeks of Advent magic on the historic Market Square with over 170 stalls, carousels, and culinary specialties. The opening with fireworks over the Weser River drew thousands to the Old Town, and the maritime Schlachte Magic on the Weser Riverbank rounded off the Christmas offerings. The combination of the UNESCO World Heritage backdrop and Hanseatic coziness once again made the market one of the most popular Advent destinations in the North.
