Edition 2025 — Brass im Gras
Brass im Gras has been part of the summer event calendar for the Musikverein Ebenweiler and the OEW Kultursommer in the Ravensburg district for years. The concept combines a district association festival for brass bands with modern brass bands on the open-air meadow on the outskirts of the village. The previous edition in 2025 was part of the traditional brass series in Upper Swabia.
Brass im Gras in the OEW Summer Series
In previous years, Brass im Gras was already one of the highlights of the OEW Kultursommer season in Upper Swabia. The organizers and the district association have developed the format as a combination of club tradition (district association festival, morning pint concerts, catering by the music clubs) and the modern brass scene with national bands from Southern Germany.
The festival grounds in Ebenweiler offer the open-air setting typical of Upper Swabia: village center, meadow, festival tent catering by the clubs, and a family audience from the entire Ravensburg district and the neighboring districts of Sigmaringen and Biberach.
