Overview

In 2025, the Brandenburger Sommerkino once again transformed St. Johanniskirche into an open-air cinema from late May to early July. On the rain-resistant LED video wall, event-theater e.V. showed a curated programme of arthouse hits and audience favourites, starting at 8 PM each night – as usual, independent of the weather.

The 2025 Brandenburger Sommerkino ran, as in previous years, from late May to early July in the St. Johanniskirche Brandenburg an der Havel. The organiser was event- theatre e.V.; screenings consistently started at 8:00 PM and were shown on the now well-established rain-resistant LED video wall. The curated programme included a mix of current arthouse productions, German films, and literary adaptations. A complete public film overview of the 2025 edition is not permanently archived on the event website; the Sommerkino itself is a fixed part of Brandenburg an der Havel's summer programme.
