Overview

The Brahms Weeks 2025 offered a diverse chamber music program at various locations in Schleswig-Holstein, with Heide as the central venue. Ensembles from the North German classical scene performed in St. Jürgen's Church and the Klaus Groth Museum, complemented by concerts in Wesselburen, Büsum, and Neuenkirchen.

Looking Back at the Brahms Weeks 2025

The 28th edition of the festival took place in the spring of 2025 under the motto of chamber music concentration on Brahms and his musical environment. Heide once again formed the organizational center: concerts in the late Gothic St. Jürgen's Church and on the Lüttenheid museum island with the Klaus Groth Museum characterized the Dithmarschen program.

In 2025, the Brahms Society also awarded the Brahms Prize (€10,000) to an outstanding chamber music ensemble. The festival remained true to its principle: top-class performers, intimate spaces, curated programs instead of star-studded tourism.
