Overview

The Bodensee-Weihnacht 2025 ran from late November to mid-December in the pedestrian zone and along the lake promenade of Friedrichshafen. Again, over 60 stalls, the Christmas pyramid, the ice stock sport rink, the living nativity scene, and the decorated tree — and again the unique backdrop of the lake with the snow-capped Swiss and Austrian Alps. Day-trippers from Stuttgart, Munich, Zurich, and Vorarlberg made the market once again one of the most visited in Southern Germany.

2025 — A Mature Tradition

The 2025 edition confirmed the established position of the Bodensee-Weihnacht as one of the most scenically beautiful and simultaneously largest Advent markets in Baden-Württemberg. Friedrichshafen benefits from the combination of urban infrastructure (good train connections, many hotels), lake atmosphere, and Alpine views.

In 2025, the city increasingly focused on sustainable concepts: reusable cups, regional food and drinks, electricity from renewable sources for lighting, and regionally based artisans for stall selection. The ice stock sport rink was expanded in 2025 to meet high demand.
