Bocholt Christmas Market — Edition 2026

Organized by the City of Bocholt and its Marketing Department. Over 30 large light installations, an Advent calendar on the Town Hall, a children's train ('Schlitterspaß'), and a live music program on four Advent weekends are part of the schedule. Late-night shopping Sunday on December 14, 2026, in Bocholt's city center.

Advent Program 2026

• Thu Nov 26, 2026, 5:00 PM: Opening ceremony at the market square in front of the Historic Town Hall – with Mayor Christian Mangen, mulled wine, almonds, and welcome music.
• Daily from 12:00 PM until Dec 21, 2026: Market with stalls for crafts, mulled wine, bratwurst, potato pancakes, crêpes, and sweets on Marktplatz, Neustraße, Nordstraße, and Neutorplatz.
• St.-Georg-Platz: Winter village with five heated ski gondolas from the Rosenalm cable car in Zillertal – seating for 6 people each, reservation €10, three time slots daily (2:00 PM / 5:00 PM / 8:00 PM).
• Neutorplatz: Ice rink – open from Nov 26, 2026, to Feb 01, 2026 (extending beyond the market).
• Sun Dec 06, 2026: Visit from Santa Claus on the market square.
• Sun Dec 14, 2026: Late-night shopping Sunday – Bocholt shops open in addition to the market.
• Advent Weekends: Live music with local choirs, brass bands, and bands.
