Pop-Up wine bar with picnic blankets, lounge furniture, and chill sounds opposite the Rhein-Mosel-Halle
The Blaue Stunde is a format created by the city of Koblenz as part of the Wine Festival to make wine culture accessible in a relaxed, urban setting. Instead of a classic wine festival, the Blaue Stunde focuses on a cozy bar atmosphere with lounge furniture and picnic blankets.
The event spans two two-day stages—one in May and one in June. On each of these evenings, the organizing team sets up the pop-up wine bar opposite the Rhein-Mosel-Halle. Selected festival wines—primarily Rieslings and summery white and rosé wines—are served in the Glas-Koblenz glasses. Chill sounds from the DJ booth, picnic blankets on the lawn, and comfortable lounge furniture invite guests to linger.
The Rhein-Mosel-Halle is centrally located on the city border between the city center and the Konrad-Adenauer-Ufer and can be reached by bus from Koblenz Main Station in just a few minutes.
Instead of plastic cups, the wines are served in specially made Glas-Koblenz glasses for the Wine Festival (5 Euro deposit). The glass can be taken home as a souvenir.
The 2026 edition follows the proven format of the Blaue Stunde. Opening each day in the late afternoon, with the atmospheric highlight during the eponymous “blue hour” around sunset. The exact music program will be published in spring 2026.
