Edition 2025 — Blackdoor Reflections
Already in 2025, the Blackdoor Reflections Indoor Festival took place in Thyrnau, establishing itself as a permanent winter edition of the Blackdoor Music Fest. With an international lineup of Stoner, Doom, and Psych acts on two stages, the indoor format garnered positive feedback, leading the organizers to announce a significantly expanded program for 2026.
The 2025 edition was the first to be held as a separate indoor spin-off of the summer Blackdoor Music Fest. With a curated lineup of international Stoner, Heavy Psych, and Doom bands, the Reflections targeted the German-speaking subculture audience that populates the open-air event in the summer.
The positive experiences from the premiere led to a significant expansion of the program in 2026 (14 bands, clearly defined 2-stage structure, conceptual art elements). This has established Thyrnau as a heavy music destination even in winter – a rarity in the Southern German festival landscape.
