Four evenings of open-air cinema on Jungfernstieg: The Binnenalster Filmfest 2025 ran from September 11 to 14 with "My Neighbor Totoro", "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial", "The Intouchables", and "The First Wives Club" – all films in their original language with German subtitles, starting at 8:15 PM each evening. Free admission.

Binnenalster Filmfest 2025 – Review

From September 11 to 14, 2025, the Binnenalster Filmfest featured four curated films under the thematic umbrella "Friendship and Magical Creatures":

  • My Neighbor Totoro (Japan, German dub)
  • E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (USA, original version with German subtitles)
  • The Intouchables (France, original version with German subtitles)
  • The First Wives Club (USA, original version with German subtitles)

Screenings started at 8:15 PM each evening on the floating screen on the Binnenalster. Free admission. Main sponsors were NDR, Grand Elysée, and Studio Hamburg.
