Review of Biikebrennen 2025

On the evening of February 21, 2025, Frisian families and day-trippers also gathered at the Arlau-Schleuse in Hattstedtermarsch in the previous year. The large Biike fire at 5 PM shone far into the winter marshland – the subsequent kale supper at the Nordsee-Hotel was, as in previous years, fully booked weeks in advance.

The event once again confirmed the Arlau-Schleuse's status as one of North Frisia's most attractive Biike locations – the combination of the open, almost unrealistically vast marshland setting, the historic lock structure, and the traditional kale catering makes the event one of the most attended Biike events outside the North Frisian islands.
