Overview

The 2025 edition of the Bielefeld Wine Market ran for six days in the Old Town in early September. Winemakers from Mosel, Nahe, Pfalz, Rheinhessen, Württemberg, and the Ahr Valley served their selections, and the opening again featured the German Wine Princess.

In 2025, Bielefeld's Old Town was once again transformed into a wine village for six days. Alter Markt, Altstädter Kirchplatz, and Niedernstraße were filled with wine stalls, food vendors, and a relaxed late-summer crowd. With mostly favorable weather, thousands of visitors from Ostwestfalen, Münster, Detmold, and Hanover flocked to the city.

The format, with sustainable glass deposit systems, no table reservations, and direct interaction between winemakers and visitors, once again proved to be the right setting. The date for the following event, September 1st to 6th, 2026, was then announced.
