Overview

The Bielefeld Christmas Market 2025 took place as usual from late November to late December in Bielefeld city center. Over 110 wooden stalls on Alter Markt, Jahnplatz, Altstädter Kirchplatz, and Klosterplatz characterized the Advent season. The Christmas pyramid on Jahnplatz, the St. Nicholas House, the ice stock rink, and the extensive mulled wine offerings once again made the market one of North Rhine-Westphalia's most important Advent events.

Bielefeld Marketing once again drew tens of thousands of visitors daily to the city center in 2025. The established division into four squares with their own thematic focuses — Alter Markt (main market), Jahnplatz (pyramid), Altstädter Kirchplatz (St. Nicholas House), Klosterplatz (ice stock) — worked as in previous years. Over 110 exhibitors shaped the assortment, from traditional mulled wine stands to regional artisans. The open period between Christmas and New Year's was also well-received — Bielefeld thus remains one of the longest Advent destinations in Westphalia.
