Preparation for the 2026 District Music Festival

While the 2025 District Music Festival took place in another ASM community according to the traditional rotation principle, intensive preparations for the 69th edition in 2026 were already underway in Oberostendorf in 2025. The local music association built up the festival infrastructure throughout the year, planned the band program, and organized the logistics for the multi-day major event.

As the 2026 District Music Festival will show, this festival remains one of the most important musical events for brass music clubs in southern Bavaria — combined with competition performances, a parade, a mass choir, and a star march according to decades of tradition.
