Overview

The 20th edition of the Berlin Railway Festival took place in Autumn 2025 at the Schöneweide Railway Depot. As in previous years, the Berlin Steam Locomotive Friends e. V. opened the roundhouses and workshops to thousands of visitors: more than 40 locomotives and wagons, rides, a model railway swap meet, a field railway, and dining car catering complemented the weekend program. Admission prices as in 2026.

With the Autumn Railway Festival 2025, the Dampflokfreunde Berlin e. V. celebrated the 20th anniversary of their biggest railway weekend at the Schöneweide Railway Depot. The program once again featured more than 40 historic locomotives and wagons, including steam locomotives of series 03, 35, 52, and 74. Rides in the driver's cabs, a sold-out model railway swap meet, and a field railway for children formed the framework; work continued in the workshop on the restoration of a steam locomotive built in 1944.

The Spring Railway Festival 2025 also brought the railway depot to life on an April weekend. Both events together solidified the reputation of the Schöneweide Railway Depot as Berlin's most important railway experience destination and set the stage for the 21st edition from September 26th to 27th, 2026.
