Overview

In 2025, Berlin Art Week once again kicked off the art season in early September — five days of coordinated vernissages, openings, performances, and discussion formats across more than 100 venues. Main locations were again Hamburger Bahnhof, Gropius Bau as the festival meeting place, Berlinische Galerie, and the former Tempelhof Airport grounds. The Featured Night, as a highlight, brought together galleries, project spaces, and artists for one evening. The 2025 edition confirmed Berlin's status as one of Europe's most important capitals of contemporary art and led directly to the 2026 edition from September 9 to 13.

Berlin Art Week 2025 ran as planned in early September 2025 as a coordinated program of the Berlin art scene. Over 100 institutions — museums, galleries, project spaces, and an art fair — participated in the five-day week. Hamburger Bahnhof and Gropius Bau formed the spatial anchors, the Featured Night on Thursday connected hundreds of simultaneous openings. The 2025 edition led directly to the 2026 edition from September 9 to 13, with a further Open Call for the Featured section and the unchanged supporting structure (Kulturprojekte Berlin).
