Overview
In 2025, the Bergmannsfest Bleicherode again commemorated the mining history of the South Harz region. Three days of festivities on the Bahnhofstraße grounds, featuring a miners' parade, a mining ceremony on Miner's Day, and a classic family program, reaffirmed the importance of this tradition for the town of Bleicherode and the Nordhausen district.
The 2025 edition continued the annual commitment to the mining past. The Miners' Association marched through the town in historical uniforms, and the mining ceremony on the festival grounds recalled the significance of potash extraction in the South Harz. The festival tent, carousels, live music, and Sunday morning pint (Frühschoppen) brought the community together. The Bergmannsfest remained a central anchor of Bleicherode's festival calendar.
