Edition 2025 — Berglochfest

The Berglochfest 2025 was celebrated on the last Sunday in May at the traditional festival grounds at the Bergloch in Steinfeld. As every year, residents from Straufhain and the surrounding communities used the day for a cozy get-together in the natural setting under the old oak trees.

The 2025 edition offered the usual village festival program: beer tapping in the morning, bratwurst and steaks for lunch, coffee and cake in the afternoon, a bouncy castle for the children, and musical accompaniment by a local brass band. The Berglochfest once again confirmed its identity-forming significance for the municipality of Straufhain in the Heldburg Land — an authentic example of lived rural festival culture in Southern Thuringia.
