As a result, the Bergedorfer Weihnachtsmarkt has established itself as the quieter, more atmospheric alternative to the large city center markets. For many families from eastern Hamburg, it has become an essential Advent appointment – one of the examples of how neighborhood Christmas markets can find and retain their own clientele.
