Overview
In 2025, the festival was still held under the name SEA&SAND and took place in early August on Kühlungsborn's Event Beach. Three days of beach program with daytime sets and evening DJ headliners were already the prelude to the rebranding that occurred in 2026.
The predecessor event to BEATS&WAVES was called SEA&SAND until 2025 and took place in early August on the Event Beach in Kühlungsborn-West. Three days of beach festival combined relaxed daytime sets with major open-air evening programs on the Baltic Sea. The organizer, just like for the successor format, was the Tourismus, Freizeit & Kultur GmbH Kühlungsborn. The rebranding to BEATS&WAVES in 2026 emerged from the concept and experience of SEA&SAND.
