Barnstorf – A Community with Tradition

The municipality of Barnstorf is located in the western Diepholz district and, with its approximately 5,600 inhabitants, is a vibrant rural community. The annual Spring Awakening is a central date in the community calendar, bringing together citizens, guests, clubs, and businesses.

Spring Market with a Folk Festival Character

The focus is on the spring market with its classic folk festival character. A Ferris wheel offers a view over the festival grounds, bumper cars provide adrenaline, and there are stalls and carousels for the little ones. Sweet stalls, food stands, and catering complete the offerings.

BUEZ Garden Days

The BUEZ Garden Days (BUEZ = Barnstorf Citizen and Environment Center) are the horticultural accompaniment to the festival. Plants for gardens and balconies, perennials, spring flowers, seeds, garden tools, arts and crafts, and natural products are presented. Those who want to get their own garden ready for spring will find a wide selection here.

Jan-Spieker-Bahn as a Shuttle

A charming special feature is the Jan-Spieker-Bahn, which runs as a shuttle between the festival areas. For children, riding the train is an experience that further enhances the festival visit.

Exhibitor Registration by March 20

Anyone wishing to participate as an exhibitor should register by March 20, 2026. Registrations are handled through the municipality of Barnstorf or BIG Barnstorf. Registration details can be found on barnstorf.de and big-barnstorf.de.
