Maritime Festival in Kaiserbad Bansin

The Bansin Pier Festival, alongside the Ahlbeck Summer Festival, is the second major Volksfest (public festival) in the Kaiserbäder (Imperial Spas) during high summer. The venue is the promenade around the historic Bansin Concert Pavilion, which has remained almost unchanged since 1937 with its large windows facing the Baltic Sea. Like Heringsdorf and Ahlbeck, Bansin belongs to the municipality of Ostseebad Heringsdorf in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald.

Along the beautiful beach promenade and around the concert pavilion, market traders offer selected handmade products:

Program between Tradition and Show

The four-day program combines tradition and modern entertainment:

• Historic Lifeguard from past eras as a humorous walkabout character
• Shanty Singers: traditional maritime songs
• Walkabouts: mime, clowning, juggling along the promenade
• Live Concerts with top-class party bands in the evenings
• Beach Fireworks on Saturday evening

Bansin Concert Pavilion – A Monument Comes Alive

The Concert Pavilion is the soul of the festival. The listed building on the beach promenade has been combining concert operations and architectural history for almost 90 years. During the Pier Festival, musicians of various genres – from classical to jazz, pop, and Schlager – perform here against a dreamlike sea backdrop.
