Overview

The 2025 Bamberg Carnival Parade took place on March 4th — due to the late Easter date, Shrove Tuesday fell in early March. The uniform motto, coordinated with the Bamberg BRK Rose Monday Ball, was "The Four Elements – Earth, Water, Air, and Fire". Thousands of visitors lined the city centre.

Bamberg Carnival Parade 2025 in Retrospect

The 2025 edition started on Shrove Tuesday, March 4th, at 1:33 PM in Bamberg's city centre. The motto proclaimed jointly with the Bamberg Red Cross Ball was "The Four Elements – Earth, Water, Air, and Fire". As every year, the organiser was Stadtmarketing Bamberg e.V., which coordinated the registrations of participating groups until the end of January.

What Was On Display

Around 50 carnival floats, walking groups, guards, clubs, and brass bands paraded as usual through Neue Straße, Hauptstraße, Ringstraße, and Kirchgasse. The Bamberg Prince and Princess led the parade. Thousands of costumed revellers and families continued the celebrations in Bamberg's pubs afterwards.
