Spring Kick-off in the Spa Town
The Bad Pyrmont Spring and Easter Market has been a fixed date in the spa town's event calendar for years. The organizer is Bad Pyrmont Tourismus GmbH in cooperation with the town marketing department and local businesses. The market traditionally takes place on the last weekend in March before Easter and brings the town centre back to life after winter with spring colours, scents, and sounds.
Over 40 Stalls in Brunnenstraße
The approximately 40 to 50 exhibitors are spread throughout Brunnenstraße. The focus of the selection is high-quality arts and crafts: wooden figures, Easter wreaths made from natural materials, felted eggs, carved rabbits, ceramics in pastel shades, handmade candles, and fabric works. A second pillar is spring flowers — tulips, daffodils, primroses, pansies, hyacinths — fresh from regional nurseries. In addition, there are vendors of natural cosmetics, essential oils, herbal teas, honey, jams, and sweet and savoury specialities.
Sunday Shopping
On Sunday, March 22nd, there will be a Sunday opening for shops in the town centre of Bad Pyrmont from 1 pm to 6 pm. Shops along Brunnenstraße and in the surrounding streets will open their doors and offer special promotions, spring collections, and Sunday specials. The combination of the market and shopping traditionally attracts many visitors from the Hameln-Pyrmont district and surrounding regions.
Family-Friendly and Intergenerational
A carousel is set up for families with children, which can be used for a small fee. At several stalls, there are hands-on activities: painting eggs, learning to felt, small craft projects. Food stalls offer coffee, homemade cakes, bratwurst, crêpes, and non-alcoholic spring drinks. Benches and high tables invite visitors to linger. The market is accessible.
Pyrmont's Townscape in Spring Splendour
Bad Pyrmont, with its historic spa gardens, the Hauff fountain, and the Wandelhalle (promenade hall), provides a special backdrop for the market. Those who combine their market visit with a stroll in the spa gardens or a visit to the nearby Hufeland-Therme thermal baths will experience a classically relaxing Pyrmont weekend afternoon.
