In 2025, the Bad Mergentheim Volksfest took place on the traditional last weekend of July. This edition marked the transition to the 2026 reorientation — the last time with the old operator before the city announced the reform with P+L Event and the moved date for 2026.

In 2025, the Bad Mergentheim Volksfest was held on the traditional last weekend of July. This edition also served as an occasion to discuss the future of the festival with the city — date, concept, and appeal compared to the surrounding Tauberfranken festivals (Tauberzeller Lichterfest, RONDO Wine Festival Beckstein, Taubertäler Weindorf, Wittighäuser Weindorf, Rothenburger Weindorf).
This led to the decision for 2026: new operator, new date in July before the high summer, Ferris wheel, Taubertal-Schänke, themed days. The reform aims to re-establish the Volksfest as an attractive summer event in the Main-Tauber district — embedded in the city's double anniversary in 2026.
