19th Edition of an Established Event
With its 19th edition in 2026, the Mountain Marathon looks back on almost two decades of tradition. What began as a regional event has developed into a nationally known trail run, attracting hundreds of participants annually from all over northern Germany and beyond.
Four Distances for All Performance Levels
The range of distances is deliberately broad to appeal to participants of all performance levels:
- 6 km — Beginner distance, suitable for newcomers to mountain running and for active individuals
- 12 km — Medium distance with a challenging elevation profile
- 21 km (Half Marathon) — Classic distance for ambitious runners
- 42 km (Marathon) — The ultimate distance for trail experts
Additionally, Nordic Walking is offered — an alternative for those who want to enjoy the mountain experience without a running competition.
