Overview

In 2025, the cycling season in Herzogenaurach also began with the "Aufsteigen" spring cycling fair. Over 15 exhibitors, a leisure mile featuring the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region, and the kick-off for the STADTRADELN campaign made Saturday morning in the city centre a must-attend event for cycling enthusiasts from across the Erlangen-Höchstadt district.

The 2025 edition of the "Aufsteigen" cycling fair once again confirmed its position as the most important cycling event of the spring season in Herzogenaurach. Over 15 exhibitors—bike shops, e-bike brands, service providers—showcased their offerings in the city centre. The leisure mile attracted tourism providers from the Franconian Wine Country, Franconian Switzerland, and Hersbruck Switzerland.

The group ride of the STADTRADELN teams at 12 p.m. in the market square traditionally marked the festive start of the three-week climate protection campaign. For years, Herzogenaurach has been among the most active STADTRADELN cities in Bavaria—the cycling fair is an important part of this culture of engagement.
