Sprint, Olympic and Middle distance across Ingolstadt on June 14, 2026
The Audi Triathlon Ingolstadt powered by BÜCHL has established itself over the years as one of the most important triathlon events in Bavaria. The organizer is Endurance Sportevents (Race Director Gerhard Budy); the title sponsor is the locally rooted automotive group Audi AG, headquartered in Ingolstadt. The race is officially licensed by the German Triathlon Union (License Number 02-26-01-06166) and is aimed at both hobby and age-group athletes.
In 2026, the event will offer six competition formats, each with individual and relay categories:
Minimum age: Sprint 2010 or older, Olympic and Middle Distance 2008 or older.
The start is on June 14, 2026, at the Baggersee Ingolstadt near the beach volleyball courts. After the swim start, athletes head out onto the bike course across Ingolstadt and the rural surroundings: Over the Danube bridges, through agricultural floodplains, and on well-maintained roads with a relatively flat profile. The Middle Distance bike course (86 km) continues further into the Schanzer countryside. The run course runs along the Danube and ends in the Klenzepark in the middle of Ingolstadt's city center — the historic park behind the Klenze Fortress serves as the transition area and finish line.
The 2026 entry fees are tiered based on registration order: Sprint €100–€120, Olympic Distance €130–€160, Middle Distance €245–€305. The entry package includes: race bib, finisher medal, swim cap, transition bag, water bottle, race nutrition, post-race massage, and digital certificate. Registration opens on October 1, 2025 (8:00 AM) via the club's website, deadline: May 30, 2026.

Sports have a firm place in Ingolstadt — the ice hockey club ERC Ingolstadt plays in the DEL, and FC Ingolstadt 04 plays in the second Bundesliga. With the Audi Triathlon and the Half Marathon Series, the city has also established itself as a location for endurance sports events.
