Overview

The Asselner Strand 2026 is the premiere of the format. There was no previous event — the concept was newly developed in 2025/26 by Dortmund-Asseln and beach-festivals to give the district its own beach festival format. The edition documented here is the first of its kind.

The "Asselner Strand" format was newly developed in 2025/26 by beach-festivals and the Brackel district administration. The goal was to give the eastern part of Dortmund a neighborhood festival format that goes beyond the classic club and neighborhood festival — with a well-thought-out beach staging, a multi-day live music program, and an explicit family track.

The edition noted here for 2025 is therefore not a real event that has taken place — the premiere will be in 2026. This edition will be listed in the statistics as a premiere edition, and a repeat in 2027 is already planned in case of success.
