A Village Festival Every Three Years

The Asendorf Village Festival follows an unusual rhythm: it is celebrated not annually, but only every three years. This rarity gives the festival a special significance in the village community and makes each edition a highly anticipated event. After the 2026 festival, the next one won't be until 2029.

Two Days of Celebration on May 9th and 10th, 2026

Saturday and Sunday form the framework of the festival. The event takes place at the Behr family's farm, a traditional farmstead in Asendorf, which offers the necessary space for the flea market, music concert, and catering.

Large Flea Market with 45 Stalls

A main attraction of the festival is the large flea market on Saturday with 45 registered stalls. Private individuals from Asendorf and the surrounding area will offer bric-a-brac, antiques, collectibles, and curiosities. The flea market also attracts visitors from neighboring villages and the Hollenstedt municipality.

MIC J. Pash Concert

A musical highlight is the concert by MIC J. Pash on Saturday evening. The musician presents a diverse program and provides atmospheric live music in the festival tent at the Behr family's farm.

Church Service and Partner Municipality Trzciel

On Sunday, a church service will take place, giving the festival a contemplative start. A special highlight of the 2026 edition: the visit of a delegation from the Polish partner municipality Trzciel, which is visiting Asendorf and Hanstedt for this occasion. The German-Polish partnership is actively maintained with the joint festival weekend.

Village Community at the Center

The Asendorf Village Festival is driven by the village community. Residents, clubs, and families organize the festival together. Catering with home-style cooking, homemade cakes, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks is provided by the citizens of Asendorf.
