Arts and Crafts in the Park

The Art and Craft Market in the Rhododendronpark D.G. Hobbie is a smaller, more intimate sister event to the large Ammerländer Gartentage (Ammerland Garden Days). Here too, the historic Rhododendronpark Hobbie in Westerstede-Petersfeld serves as the backdrop — but the focus is on arts and crafts rather than plants.

2026 Edition on August 16

The 2026 edition takes place on Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.. Exhibitors set up their stalls along the park paths, allowing visitors to stroll and get advice in a relaxed atmosphere.

What's on Display

The offerings range from jewelry, ceramics, wood art, sculptures, textile art, and felt creations to metal sculptures, handmade glass, leather goods, and creative floristry. Culinary stalls with farm products and organic foods are also part of the program. A café and snack area are available for breaks.

Rhododendronpark D.G. Hobbie

The park belongs to the D.G. Hobbie nursery and is one of Northern Germany's most important show gardens, featuring around 1,000 rhododendron varieties. While the main bloom is over in August, the park offers a special atmosphere even in summer with its sculptures, water features, and old trees.
