Ars Musica 25 Years Anniversary

A quarter of a century of voluntary musical work is not a matter of course in a community like Ochtendung: Ars Musica was founded in 2001 and has become an integral part of cultural life in the Pellenz-Maifeld area over the past 25 years. The anniversary weekend on June 20 and 21, 2026, honors this continuous work with a program that is both musically demanding and community-building.

Ochtendung is the largest local municipality in the Pellenz collective municipality and is located between Mayen, Andernach, and Koblenz. With over 6,000 inhabitants and an active club structure, the town offers the ideal basis for a musical project like Ars Musica. The members of the ensemble – musicians from Ochtendung and the surrounding towns – rehearse regularly and perform not only the annual concert program but also at ceremonies, in the parish church, and on special occasions in the region.

The 2026 anniversary program will be finalized by the organizer in spring 2026. Proven cornerstones of such club anniversaries include a ceremonial act with welcoming speeches from the mayor and the collective municipality, a major anniversary concert featuring works from the 25-year repertoire, a performance by former members and friendly clubs, as well as a social part with interaction, catering, and memories of the founding years.
