Overview

Already in 2025, the ArberBlitz in the Bavarian Forest started as the longest touring ski race in the region. With a course from Großer Arber to Bodenmais and a subsequent winter party, the event attracted winter sports enthusiasts of all generations last year as well.

The 2025 edition of the ArberBlitz took place on Saturday, February 8, 2025. The course and format followed the proven concept: 8 km descent from the Großer Arber summit plateau down to the Silberbergbad Bodenmais, with individual and team competitions. The variety of equipment — alpine skis, touring skis, telemark, cross-country skis, snowboards, vintage skis — ensured a colorful field of participants.

Afterwards, the event celebrated its traditional winter party program in Bodenmais. The organizer was, as always, the SC Bodenmais. The Bavarian Forest winter sports region once again confirmed its role as a central winter sports destination in Bavaria away from the Alps with the ArberBlitz.
