A Traditional Market for Collectors and Designers

Over the years, the Antikmarkt & Design Leer has become a fixed date in the calendar for collectors in Northern Germany. It is characterized by a mix of classic antique culture and 20th-century vintage design—from Scandinavian furniture and French Mid-Century design to glassware, lamps, and design icons. In addition, exhibitors also offer classic antiques, jewelry, coins, books, postcards, toys, porcelain, and silver.

Location and Logistics

The venue is the Berufsschule Leer, whose spacious halls, foyers, and rooms allow exhibitors to present their goods in an organized manner. The concept combines the experience of a classic antique market with good heating, protection from the weather, and enough space to actually present and transport large furniture and design objects.

Two Dates Per Year

Traditionally, two dates are offered each year: one in spring and one in early autumn. This allows for seasonal trends, newly acquired stock, and different collecting themes to be spread throughout the year. For many exhibitors, Leer is an important market location with a loyal customer base.

Audience

The audience ranges from collectors and interior designers to antique dealers and first-time buyers of design pieces, as well as families enthusiastically browsing vintage toys and records. The proximity to the Dutch border also ensures regular visits from Groningen and Drenthe.
