Overview

The Ansbach Christmas Market 2025 ran for four weeks around the historic town hall between St. Gumbertus and St. Johannis. Franconian mulled wine and punch, roasted almonds, bratwurst, gingerbread, and the large Christmas pyramid formed the core of an authentic Advent market. In the town hall, the accompanying craft exhibition showcased works by regional artisans.

The 2025 edition once again attracted a diverse audience: locals from Ansbach's city center and surrounding districts, day-trippers from Middle Franconia, and tourists from the Nuremberg area, the Würzburg region, and the Swabian Jura. The market was open continuously from the first Advent week until December 23.

The Ansbach Christmas Market establishes itself year after year as the ideal Advent format for visitors seeking a medium-sized, personally managed Franconian Christmas market — without the crowds of Nuremberg, but with the same artisanal and culinary substance.
