21st Angler- und Fischerfest Buckow

At its 20th edition in August 2025, the Angler- und Fischerfest Buckow confirmed its status as the most popular summer festival on the Schermützelsee. Live cooking stations, fishing competitions, stages, and refreshment stands organized by local associations were spread along the promenade. Families traveled from the Berlin surrounding area and the Oderbruch region, often combining their visit to the festival with a hike in the Märkische Schweiz Nature Park. Having existed for over 20 years, the event has established itself as a fixture in Brandenburg's summer calendar — with a clear focus on water, fishing, and family.
