Amtswehrfest Basedow

Previous editions of the Amtswehrfest were organized by the volunteer fire brigades of the Malchin district on Lake Kummerow in various member communities. The focus was always on competitions in classic fire brigade disciplines, presentations of operational technology, and a public program with family activities. With the 2026 hosting, it's Basedow's turn — a community widely known beyond the region for its historic village church with the Gercke organ from 1683. The Amtswehrfest makes the voluntary fire protection work of Mecklenburg Switzerland visible to the public and combines club culture, sports, family programs, and rural festival culture.
