Overview

The Amphibian Festival at the Thurow natural water body in 2025 was, as usual, conducted by the nature park rangers as a night excursion to local amphibians and moths. The small group size ensured that the nocturnal soundscape of the water body took center stage.

In 2025, the Amphibian Festival at the Thurow natural water body was again a firmly booked program item in the events of the Feldberger Seenlandschaft Nature Park. The nature park rangers led participants on a roughly four-kilometer route through the nocturnal nature reserve, explaining the common toad, common frog, yellow-bellied toad, European tree frog, and moth species of the region.

The event is part of a broader series of guided hikes in the nature park – including bird watching, wild herb tours, and orchard walks – which take place throughout the year.
