Overview

The Amberger Michaeli-Dult 2025 ran from September 26 to October 5 at the Dultplatz. Ten days of festival tent with Amberger Festbier, rides, and market stalls characterized the autumn Volksfest. Highlights included the two Friday fireworks displays and the traditional Sunday with open shops on the last day in Amberg's city center.

In 2025, the Michaeli-Dult once again attracted thousands of visitors from the city of Amberg and the districts of Amberg-Sulzbach, Schwandorf, and Neumarkt i.d.OPf. The festival tent of the Gschrey family proved to be the focal point of the festivities; the fireworks displays on Fridays were traditionally set off at 10:00 PM, painting the sky above the Upper Palatinate district town with pyrotechnic scenes.

The Sunday with open shops on the last day of the festival combined the Volksfest with a city stroll, creating a great family outing. From the Dultplatz to the historic old town, visitors enjoyed coffee, cake, and last-minute shopping before winter — a proven closing event for the Upper Palatinate festival season.
