Edition 2025 — Alzenau Castle Festival
In 2025, the Alzenau Castle Festival once again filled the historic courtyard of Alzenau Castle for several summer weeks. Theatre productions by regional groups like kultBurG e.V., comedies, cabaret, children's theatre, and musical guest performances formed the core of the programme – a well-established mix that makes the festival a cultural summer highlight on the Bavarian Lower Main.
The Alzenau Castle Festival 2025 continued the proven concept: open-air theatre, comedies, cabaret, and music in the atmospheric courtyard of Alzenau Castle. The association kultBurG e.V. Alzenau and the kultBurGTeens presented their own productions as in previous years, supplemented by professional touring guest performances from the region and the Rhine-Main area.
The festival confirmed its reputation as a popular summer cultural event in the district of Aschaffenburg. Performances took place in almost all weather conditions; in case of storms, the Räuschberghalle Hörstein served as an alternative venue.
