Altmühlsee Festival

In 2025, the Altmühlsee special-purpose association continued its unique festival concept: live music on five parallel stages around the lake, connected by shuttle and excursion boat. The mix of rock classics, rockabilly, and rock'n'roll revivals attracted a regular audience from all over Middle Franconia and the northern Danube region to the Franconian Lake District.

The atmosphere by the lake, the festival day as a summer highlight for the surrounding communities of Gunzenhausen, Muhr am See, Pfofeld, and the surf center are part of the event's character. In 2025, admission remained free, and the festival wristband for shuttle and boat cost 5 euros.
