Edition 2025 — Rötzer Fasenacht
The Althistorische Rötzer Fasenacht 2025 once again transformed the town center of Rötz into a colorful carnival spectacle. Over 60 groups and floats, coordinated by the Faschingskomitee »Immer dieselben«, provided one of the largest parades in the Oberpfalz on Shrove Tuesday, drawing thousands of visitors to the Oberpfälzer Wald.
The 2025 edition of the Althistorische Rötzer Fasenacht also followed the tradition of previous years. Over 60 walking groups and floats characterized Shrove Tuesday in Rötz, many with historical-allegorical motifs, witch masks, and elaborately decorated floats.
As usual, the town center was densely packed with spectators, and catering and clubs offered food, drinks, and carnival atmosphere. Thus, the »Althistorische« once again confirmed itself in 2025 as one of the most important carnival events in the Oberpfälzer Wald.
