The Altenburg Games Festival 2025 once again brought XXL games, a VR arena, sound channels, and hands-on activities to the Park am Großen Teich. For three days, the Skat capital celebrated its playful identity — with a festival express between the park and Baderei, live music on stage, and a balanced program for families, gamers, and cultural visitors.
Review 2025
The 2025 season continued the open festival concept. Park am Großen Teich and Baderei formed the double stage, with the Festival Express shuttling between the two areas. The VR Arena proved to be a crowd-puller again, and the XXL games on the lawn offered the classic fun factor. The city administration already used the 2025 festival to draw attention to the upcoming grand anniversary of 1050 Years of Altenburg in 2026.
