Edition 2025 — altART Altheim
Before the leap to Altheim, Kulturstammtisch Blieskastel continued its established BliesART format in the old town of Blieskastel. The tenth anniversary in 2024 with around 30 artists was the gateway to expanding the concept to the districts from 2026 onwards.
In 2025, the predecessor format BliesART took place as usual in the historic old town of Blieskastel. The concept had grown over the years: from 10 a.m. with a "Frühschoppen" (morning pint) atmosphere, including a church service and official opening around midday, followed by an open art tour with painters and sculptors directly between the Schlosskirche, Marktplatz, and Paradeplatz.
The musical spectrum ranged from French chansons (CA VA) to acoustic pop (Fozzie) and flamenco guitar (Lobo) – a reflection of the Bliesgau's border location. For younger visitors, there was an interactive "BliesART Peace Puzzle" in a large format. The proceeds went to the club's work and the preparation of the first altART in Altheim.
Programme
BliesART 2025 – Sunday in Blieskastel Old Town
- 10:00 AM — Festival service and ecumenical opening
- 11:00 AM — Official opening with the mayor and club board
- 11:00 AM–6:00 PM — Art tour with artists at canvases and easels
- Changing stage program with live music (chansons, acoustic, flamenco)
- Children's hands-on activities around the central squares
- Morning pint and catering by local clubs
