Walporzheim Winery Courtyard — Meeting Point in the Ahr Valley
The Walporzheim Winery Courtyard at Prümerstraße 2 is an outpost of the Mayschoß-Altenahr Wine Cooperative and is located in the heart of one of the Ahr Valley's most famous wine villages. With an inner courtyard, garden, and cozy lounge areas, the winery courtyard provides the ideal setting for relaxed summer evenings. Its location on the Ahr Valley Red Wine Route also makes it easily accessible for hikers and cyclists.
Monthly Rhythm from May to August
The After-Work Parties take place every last Thursday of the months May to August. The dates for 2026 are May 28, June 25, July 30, and August 27. This regular rhythm allows regular guests to mark their calendars and bring friends.
5 PM to 10 PM — Relaxed After-Work
The events start at 5:00 PM, right after work, and end at 10:00 PM, so even working guests can enjoy their Thursday evening without straining the next workday. During these five hours, a pleasant mix of wine tasting, socializing, and relaxed musical accompaniment develops.
Ahr Valley Wines and Culinary Delights
The Wine Cooperative presents a selection of its Ahr Valley wines at the parties — Spätburgunder, Frühburgunder, Portugieser, and white wines — which are usually served by the glass. Accompanying these are culinary snacks such as cheese and sausage platters, tarte flambée, or seasonal dishes, providing a solid foundation.
DJ Sets and Live Music
The musical accompaniment alternates between DJ sets and live music depending on the date. Lounge, soul, jazz, and relaxed pop classics shape the atmosphere without the volume hindering conversation. Those who want to dance can find space in the inner courtyard, while those who prefer to sit and chat have ample opportunity in the garden and rooms.

Getting There and Logistics
Due to wine consumption, travel by public transport, taxi, or carpool is recommended. Parking is limited.
Programme After-Work Party Walporzheim 2026
Schedule of an After-Work Event
5:00 PM — Opening
Opening of the winery courtyard, guest reception in the inner courtyard. Distribution of tasting glasses, first encounters over a glass of Ahr Valley wine.
5 PM - 7 PM — Aperitif Phase
Relaxed initial phase with welcome wines, culinary appetizers, and quiet musical accompaniment. Arrival of more guests after work.
7 PM - 9 PM — Main Phase
Lively atmosphere with DJ set or live music. Guests spread out between the inner courtyard, garden, and rooms of the winery. Serving of tarte flambée, cheese and sausage platters, and other dishes.
9 PM - 10 PM — Winding Down
Final rounds of wine, gradual winding down of the party. Farewell to guests, dismantling of stands by the Wine Cooperative's team.
10:00 PM — End
Closing of the winery courtyard. The next After-Work Party follows on the last Thursday of the following month.
