Overview
The 9th edition of the Afrika Festival Weilimdorf took place in June 2025 at Ernst-Reuter-Platz in Stuttgart's Weilimdorf district. Three days of Afrobeat live music, dance performances, workshops, and West African cuisine attracted visitors from Stuttgart and the region to the city's northwest. The festival, organized by the Baye-Fall e.V. association, once again confirmed its role as one of the most vibrant intercultural summer events in the state capital.
2025 — Festival in Weilimdorf
In 2025, the ninth edition of the festival took place around the Corpus Christi Thursday holiday, as usual. Three days of live music on the main stage featuring Afrobeat and Mbalax sets, dance groups from Stuttgart and West Africa, an arts and crafts market, and Senegalese-influenced cuisine formed the program. Ernst-Reuter-Platz in the heart of Weilimdorf proved to be what it is for three days: the intercultural showcase of an often-overlooked Stuttgart district.
