In 2025, the Evangelical Church Community Arsten-Habenhausen once again opened the Advent season with its Advent market at the Simon-Petrus-Kirche in Habenhausen. Following the family service at 11:00 a.m., the area on Habenhauser Dorfstraße transformed into a small, warm market with stalls offering arts and crafts, artistic works, and culinary delights. Supported by the voluntary commitment of the community, the market remained a contemplative, neighbourly start to Advent in Bremen's south with free admission — a quiet counterpoint to the large city centre markets.
The 2025 edition followed the established tradition: family service at 11:00 a.m., followed by the community Advent market around the Simon-Petrus-Kirche. Sales stands with arts and crafts, artistic works, and culinary delicacies invited the community and neighbours to linger. The market combined contemplative Advent atmosphere with lived community and underscored the personal, village-like character of Habenhausen.
