Adventsmarkt Museumsdorf Volksdorf — Edition 2025

Over the weekend, stalls, bakehouse sales, a carousel, and animal program were spread across the historic farm grounds. Those who came on Saturday afternoon encountered the main crowd in the warm stream of mulled wine. The farm animals were, as every year, a magnet in themselves, especially for families from Hamburg's northern districts.

The mix of tranquility, thatched-roof architecture, and a gentle Advent scene defines the Volksdorf format. It's not a loud city festival, but a concentrated farmyard version of a Christmas market — an alternative to the large markets at Rathausmarkt and Jungfernstieg.
